Community Standards

A place where everyone feels welcome.

These standards reflect the standards of conduct of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everyone agrees to them when joining, and to uphold them in every conversation and get-together.

Who may join

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must be legally single — never married, divorced, or widowed. Members who are separated but not legally divorced may not join.
  • SaintlySingles is designed and managed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and anyone is welcome who agrees to live by these standards while using the app.

Be honest

  • Use your real name, a current photo of yourself, and accurate information about your age, location and marital status.
  • Never impersonate another person or create more than one account.
  • Every application for membership is verified to confirm you are a real person and, where claimed, a member of the Church.
  • A government-issued photo ID is required with every application.
  • If you apply as a member of the Church, proof of Church membership is also required in the application form.

Be respectful and kind

  • Treat every member with courtesy and dignity, as you would at a Church activity.
  • No harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats or unkind language.
  • Respect when someone isn't interested — accept a 'no' gracefully and move on.

Keep it clean and modest

  • Photos and messages must reflect standards of modesty in dress, language and conduct.
  • No sexually suggestive content, profanity, or requests for intimate images.
  • Relationships formed here should honour the law of chastity.

No commercial or financial requests

  • Do not advertise, sell, recruit for business ventures, or solicit money or gifts from other members.
  • Report anyone who asks you for money — this is a common sign of a scam.

Protect your safety and privacy

  • Don't share personal details such as your home address or financial information until you know someone well.
  • When meeting in person, meet in a public place and tell a friend or family member your plans.
  • Never share another member's details or messages without their permission.

Online get-togethers

  • Join group events with a friendly, inclusive spirit and dress as you would for a Church social.
  • Hosts may remove anyone who disrupts an event or ignores these standards.

Reporting and moderation

  • Please report any profile, message or behaviour that breaks these standards using the in-app report option.
  • We may warn, suspend or remove accounts that do not follow these standards, at our discretion. No refunds will be made for suspensions or removal.

SaintlySingles is designed to be safe and respectful, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of every member. Please use good judgement and report concerns.
